Pre-orders begin October 16, 2026, with general availability beginning October 23, 2026 in more than 70 countries and regions. Additional markets will receive the device from October 30.

Display Features

The iPhone Duo features a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR outer display while folded; when the iPhone is opened, it has a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR display, Apple's largest display to date.

The iPhone Duo's two displays are designed to deliver a bright, smooth and engaging viewing experience, with ProMotion, Always-On functionality and up to 3,000 nits of brightness for clearer viewing. The inner screen cuts out glare and reflections while making the fold in the display less noticeable.

Camera Feature:

The iPhone Duo is a foldable phone built around a redesigned hinge, a durable titanium body, and a strong camera system.

Design

  • A new hinge makes opening and closing smooth and keeps the display supported when open.

  • The body is polished Grade 5 titanium, with a Ceramic Shield on the back and a Ceramic Shield 2 on the outer display (three times the scratch resistance of earlier models).

  • It has an IP68 rating for splash, water, and dust resistance.

  • The folding display uses layered protection, high-strength glass, and custom adhesives to reduce stress from repeated folding.

Controls

  • Touch ID is built into the side button.

  • Camera Control gives quick access to the camera.

Cameras

  • Rear: a 48MP Fusion Main camera with optical-quality 2x Telephoto and better low-light performance, plus a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide for wider shots and macro.

  • Front: a new Center Stage camera that adjusts automatically to different orientations.

Video

  • 4K at 120fps in Dolby Vision, improved Cinematic effects, Audio Mix, and 4K Dolby Vision HDR time-lapse.

Performance

The iPhone Duo is powered by Apple's A20 Pro chip, currently being used in the iPhone 18 Pro models.

The A20 Pro is built on a 2-nanometre process. Apple states that the sustained performance is up to 35% better than that of the iPhone 17 Pro, so the phone holds its speed through long gaming sessions, video edits, and heavy multitasking.

This means that the chip is faster, cooler and well prepared for the next AI features that run directly on your device. A custom vapour chamber management system maintains performance during highly intensive workload activities such as gaming, multitasking and AI.

Battery Features:

The foldable design uses a dual-battery architecture, with one battery on each side of the device. Apple rates the iPhone Duo for up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and up to 44 hours on the outer display. When both displays are used equally, it is rated for up to 24 hours of usage. Charging is quick as well: fast charging can take the battery to 50% in around 20 minutes, while MagSafe or Qi2 wireless charging reaches 50% in around 30 minutes.
